Within years, surpassing teenage life. Liza became successful accountant. She used to earn enough to afford luxuries. She had influencing friends all belonging to rich families.
On other hand, her mother, Vanessa, living in her old apartment, was sitting on a sofa and watching news channels. She was nothing like when she was youthful. Pale face, thin, silver coated hair, trembling hands representing senility.
Both of them were completely different stories but there was a major difference between them. Although Liza had everything. She was the star of a party, people were influenced by her, she had an amazing social circle, but she never found peace in her life. She was always stressed out. Trying to compete with the world of social media, she lost her inner peace somewhere . Her relaxed soul, was gone.
On the other hand, Vanessa struggled throughout her life. She never worn amazing clothes, she never had luxurious lifestyle. always worked hard to raise her daughter as a good human. She had one thing that was most precious, her inner peace.
It was not too late when the time came. Liza was done, done with her adventure of finding inner peace she did everything to get it but we know that we can not buy everything.
As careless her life made her, she rarely used to visit her mother. One day Liza's old neighbors called her, they told her that Vanessa is sick and need good care. Liza's heart sank, when she realized that in all this hectic schedule, she almost forgot to care after her mom. Within an instant, she rushed towards her old home.
She took a good care of her mom, beside Vanessa's illness, Liza still used to find a strange type of satisfaction on her mother's face. It made that young girl think, that even after having everything, her face does not represent serenity.
When her curiosity passed the threshold, she asked her mother that how she is so relaxed and peaceful even after labouring whole life, Vanessa said,"Do you remember your childhood?" Liza going through a flashback said," Yes".
Vanessa added," Even though you never had a beautiful, girly room or you never had expensive toys, but you were happy with it because you never used to compare you toys or room with others. You never used to burden your mind after looking other's life. You were thankful for what you had dear. I think you forgot the lesson I always taught you love"
Liza fell into deep thoughts, she realized how happy she was as a kid and how she lost her peaceful soul. She was weeping, thinking that how much she had lost in all these years.
After all the emotional talk with her mother, Liza brought her mother at her apartment, always trying to practice thank fullness. After quitting from competitive nature of others, she successfully found her soul, the soul of a happy girl.....
